Along the way, they encounter a two-headed deer, a sign of radiation. Jasper also finds a sign that says "Earth Monitoring Station", which leads them to a river. There, Octavia is attacked by a giant water snake, but she is saved by a mysterious stranger. Jasper develops a crush on her and decides to impress her by crossing the river using a vine. The episode starts with another flashback, this time to when Jaha and Kane were young men on the Ark. They were friends and colleagues, working together to maintain order and peace. In the present, Jaha and Kane have a tense conversation about their roles and responsibilities. Jaha tells Kane that he is going to step down as Chancellor and appoint him as his successor. He also tells him that he has a secret plan to save the Ark, but he does not reveal the details.
On Earth, Clarke and Bellamy go on a mission to find a bunker that Raven saw on a map. They hope to find more supplies and weapons there. They also have a heart-to-heart talk about their pasts and their feelings. They bond over their guilt and their leadership. They also find a stash of hallucinogenic nuts, which they unknowingly eat.
Back at the camp, the rest of the 100 are also affected by the nuts, which cause them to see visions and act strangely. Some of them have fun, while others have nightmares. Raven sees Finn and Clarke kissing, which makes her jealous and angry. Jasper sees Monty being taken by the Grounders, which makes him paranoid and scared. They also start to hallucinate because of the nuts. Clarke sees Wells, who tells her that he forgives her for getting him killed. Bellamy sees Jaha, who tells him that he is proud of him for saving his sister. They also see each other in a different light, and they almost kiss.
However, they are interrupted by a radio call from Raven, who tells them that the Grounders are attacking the camp. They rush back to help their friends, using the car and the guns. They manage to scare off the Grounders, but they also realize that they have started a war. Episode 9: Unity Day
The episode begins with another flashback, this time to when the Ark was first formed by the union of 12 space stations. The people celebrated their survival and their cooperation. In the present, the 100 prepare to celebrate Unity Day, a holiday that commemorates the anniversary of the Ark. They make a bonfire and a banner, and they plan to have a party.
However, their festivities are interrupted by a radio message from the Ark. Jaha tells them that he has arranged a meeting with the leader of the Grounders, a woman named Anya. He asks Clarke to represent the 100 and negotiate a peace treaty with her. Clarke agrees, but she is skeptical about the Grounders' intentions. She asks Finn to accompany her, along with Jasper and Octavia.
They go to the meeting place, where they are greeted by Lincoln. He tells them that he has been working as a double agent for the 100, and that he has convinced Anya to talk to them. He also tells them that there is another faction of Grounders, led by a man named Tristan, who wants to wipe out the 100. He warns them to be careful and trust no one.
Meanwhile, at the camp, Bellamy and Raven work together to fix the radio and contact the Ark. They also flirt with each other, despite their feelings for Clarke and Finn. They manage to get through to Kane, who tells them that he is coming to Earth with a team of volunteers. He also tells them that Jaha has a secret plan that involves launching the Ark's remaining rockets.
On the Ark, Jaha reveals his plan to Abby and the council. He tells them that he has found a way to use the rockets to propel the Ark towards Earth, saving most of the people on board. However, he also tells them that he will have to stay behind and sacrifice himself to activate the launch. Abby is shocked and saddened by his decision, but she supports him.
Back on Earth, Clarke meets Anya and tries to make peace with her. She offers her medical supplies and food in exchange for a truce. Anya seems interested, but she also demands that the 100 leave their land and never return. Clarke refuses, saying that they have nowhere else to go. They argue, but they are interrupted by an explosion that kills several Grounders.
Clarke realizes that it was a trap set by Tristan, who has launched an attack on the camp. She tries to escape with Finn, Jasper, and Octavia, but they are surrounded by Grounders. Lincoln arrives and helps them fight back, but he is wounded by Tristan. Octavia stays with him, while Clarke and the others run back to the camp.
They find the camp in flames and chaos. They see Bellamy and Raven trying to defend themselves from the Grounders. They join them and try to save as many people as they can. He also tells them that he escaped with the help of a group of survivors from the dropship that landed near a mountain. He says that they found a missile launcher in the mountain, which they used to blow up the bridge and stop the Grounder attack.
Clarke is suspicious of Murphy's story, but she decides to trust him for now. She also decides to go to the mountain with Finn and Bellamy to find the missile launcher and use it as a weapon against the Grounders. She hopes that it will scare them enough to leave them alone. However, she is unaware that Murphy has planted a bomb in the camp, which he plans to detonate as revenge for his banishment.
Meanwhile, Octavia wakes up in Lincoln's cave, where he has healed her wound. He tells her that he loves her and that he wants to run away with her. He also tells her that he has a vial of poison that can kill him if he is captured by his people. He says that he is an outcast among the Grounders, because he does not believe in their violent ways. He also says that there is a legend about a girl who fell from the sky and brought peace to the land.
Back at the camp, Raven tries to fix the radio and contact the Ark. She is helped by Jasper and Monty, who have become friends with her. They also try to cheer her up after her breakup with Finn. They manage to get through to Kane, who tells them that he is on his way to Earth with a team of volunteers. He also tells them that Jaha has launched the Ark's rockets and that they should look for them in the sky.
On the Ark, Jaha prepares to sacrifice himself for his people. He activates the launch sequence and says goodbye to Abby and the council. He also records a message for his son Wells, telling him that he is proud of him and that he loves him. He then watches as the rockets separate from the Ark and head towards Earth.
On Earth, Clarke, Finn, and Bellamy reach the mountain, where they find the missile launcher and a bunker full of supplies. They also find a sign that says "Mount Weather Quarantine Zone". They realize that they are in a dangerous place, where the Mountain Men live. They decide to take the missile launcher and leave as soon as possible.
However, they are attacked by a group of mutated creatures, which are the result of radiation and genetic experiments. They manage to fight them off, but they also trigger an alarm that alerts the Mountain Men. They see a helicopter flying towards them, which drops a bomb on them.
At the same time, Murphy detonates his bomb at the camp, causing a massive explosion that kills several people and injures many more. Raven is among the victims, as she loses her ability to walk.
The episode ends with Clarke waking up in a white room, where she sees a man wearing a hazmat suit. He tells her that she is safe and that he is from Mount Weather. Episode 11: The Calm

She also meets Jasper, who has been taken to Mount Weather as well. He tells her that Monty is missing and that he does not trust the Mountain Men. He also tells her that he has made friends with a girl named Maya, who works in the art department.
Meanwhile, at the camp, Raven tries to cope with her paralysis and her pain. She is helped by Abby, who has arrived on Earth with Kane and the other volunteers. Abby tries to comfort Raven and tells her that she can still be useful. She also tries to repair the radio and contact Jaha.
However, they face a new problem: a lack of food. The explosion caused by Murphy destroyed most of their supplies, and the Grounders have blocked their access to hunting grounds. They decide to send a team to a nearby village, where they hope to find some food. The team consists of Kane, Bellamy, Finn, Murphy, and some others.
They reach the village, where they find a large stockpile of food. They also find a Grounder prisoner, who tells them that the food belongs to Tristan and his army. He warns them that they are coming back soon and that they should leave. However, Bellamy convinces the others to take as much food as they can.
They load the food onto a cart, but they are ambushed by Tristan and his men. They engage in a shootout, but they are outnumbered and outgunned. She discovers that they are descendants of the US government officials who survived the apocalypse in an underground bunker. She also discovers that they are unable to survive outside because of their weak immune systems and their sensitivity to radiation.
She also meets Wallace's son, Cage Wallace, who is in charge of the security and the experiments on the Grounders. He tells her that they are trying to find a cure for their condition by using the blood of the Grounders, who have developed a natural resistance to radiation. He also tells her that they have captured Anya and some other Grounders.
Clarke manages to free Anya and some other prisoners from their cages. She also finds Monty, who has been held captive by Cage for his knowledge of engineering. She tries to escape with them through an air vent, but she is confronted by Wallace and Cage.
Back at the camp, Abby tries to save Kane's life by performing a surgery on him. She is assisted by Raven, who has regained some mobility in her legs thanks to a brace made by Wick, one of Abby's engineers. They manage to remove the bullet from Kane's chest and stabilize him.
However, they are still in danger from Tristan and his army, who are preparing to attack the camp again. They decide to evacuate as many people as they can using the dropship pod that Raven came with. They also decide to use flares as a signal for the Ark to see them. However, they are shocked to see a room full of people in glass cages. They realize that they are the original inhabitants of Mount Weather, who have been kept alive by the Mountain Men for their blood. They also see Jasper among them, who has been captured by Cage. Clarke contacts Bellamy through the radio and tells him that she is trapped in Mount Weather. She tells him that there is no way out for her, but there is a way out for him and the others.
